This week we changed our schedule to focus more on peer relationships, since this was a new club and some of the students did not know very much about each other. The first day, we started by sharing jokes and playing games like 20 questions, followed by an activity where each student had to do a representation of their year so far. They reflected individually on what Grade 5 had been like and then drew a picture, did a dance, made a portrait, or created comic strips to show their year.
The second day focused on papier mache as students learned how to communicate with peers and reserve impulse control. |
